Walkthrough of the illustration "Arriving Home"
This walkthrough contains the following:
- 4hr 30mins of video showing the process of the illustration made in Photoshop and a small part in Zbrush.
- My brush pack as well as an introduction on which brushes I use and how I use them in the illustration.
- A thumbnail template to make the thumbnail process faster and easier.
In the video, you will see me go from a small, greyscale thumbnail to this vibrant, fantasy/sci-fi illustration. In the 4hr 30mins you will see me overcome problems and learn the techniques I use, which I have acquired from other artists over the past few years. Some of those techniques are:
- Applying colour to greyscale
- Easily applying light and shadow to a finished image
- Using photo textures in a discreet way.
- Using zbrush to help with complex perspective, lighting and form.
This walkthrough is suitable for all levels of Photoshop users, but beginners to intermediate users will probably benefit the most.
